ISUSPM.EXE always starts, use to keep CPU at 100%

ISUSPM.EXE always starts, use to keep CPU at 100%
You guys give great customer service!
Thanks for the feedback on the best parameters to get high quality DVDs.
Here is the other question:
I installed VS v11.5+ and the CPU went to 100% all of the time, even after I found out that it was ISUSPM.EXE and AGENT.EXE and used Task Manager to kill it, it kept coming back every 30 seconds. So I removed all of VS.
Then I read that ISUSPM.exe is from InstallShield, the newsgroup suggested to go into the subdirectory, execute the EXE and then set the values to "Manual". I did that, but when I re-boot, ISUSPM.EXE starts, but if I kill it, it does not come back (until I restart my workstation).
What can I do to keep it from starting up the first time?
Or... is there a fix to make ISUSPM.EXE well behaved?
I tried to remove it, and went throught this sequence:
I went to this URL:
http://tinyurl.com/4mbat4
It directs me to this web site:
http://consumer.installshield.com/kb.asp?id=Q111006
to get the uninstaller (I already tried to set the ISUSPM.Exe file to Manual, but it still runs and sucks CPU). When I click on the re-direct URL:
http://www.globes.com/pages/flexnetconn ... ncdown.htm
And this page tells me to log on.
Can someome:
a) send me a patch to fix this problem
b) send me the uninstall tool
c) give me a temporary User ID and Password so that I can get ISUSPM.EXE off my computer?
Thanks.
Rick.

Have you tried disabling Update checking in the Preferences dialog? Go to File>Preferences (or just press F6 on your keyboard), and on the first tab, locate and uncheck the box beside Check for Updates every....days.
Don't know if it'll fix it, but it's the only Update checker I know associated with VS..
Also please do not post excessively long hyper-links. They break the structure of the forum. Learn to use BBCode if you're going to post links.
Simply to post a link, just enclose the url inside of tagged brackets, like so:
I've also edited your post, utilizing the BBCode, and also using a utility called Tinyurl to reduce the length to Corel's site. We're aware of Corel's 20k character addressing, and don't like it a bit..

No User ID and PW for the download site

Yes, but when I get to the final point to download the software, requires a log on User ID and pw. (that's my problem)

Re: No User ID and PW for the download site
I just went to the link and downloaded the software without having to login or anything else. Try the link again and scroll down to see the "Download the Update Manager uninstaller". Click on it and it should ask if you want to run the software or download it.rickragan wrote:tyamada;

Sorry guys. That post was from a spammer. I don't know how he slipped through, but I have now deleted him and the post.
