Trial Version of Video Studio 9

The trial version of VS9 has been postponed from the 15th to the 19th and now to the end of the month. Does anyone have a clue as to when it will really be available?

And has ANYONE been succesful in getting an answer to ANY email or tech support question to ULead? I'm a registered user of MFDC 3 and can't get any response to my questions or concerns, not even an automated reply. It's like they don't exist. With this record, I can't risk buying VS9 without trying it out first.

I was told when I called their customer service number that since I purchased their version 3 less than 30 days before the release of version 4 that I could get a free download upgrade once I'd emailed them proof of purchase. I did that and have not gotten a reply to that email either.

Does anyone know the secret to getting some response?

I bought MovieFactory 3 less than a week before MF4 was announced/released. I received the same instruction that you did about emailing proof of purchase.

I received my response and download link within a few hours. I was very pleased with the prompt response.

I'm glad you got the swift response, but I have sent the email a second time and still have had no response at all. It is not being returned, so I assume it is getting to the right place. Could you give me the email address you were given to send the proof of purchase? Did you buy directly from ULead or was it a purchase elsewhere?

you asked if anyone has recieved tech support and email support from Ulead. The answer from me is...Yes, to both those questions

The customer service representative I talked go gave me an email address that would go right to him. He knew to expect my email with a scanned sales receipt attached. He also knew who I was and why he was getting that email from me.

Because of this I don't think it would help you to send him an email that he would not know anything about.

I would recommed calling back to customer support and trying again. Maybe the customer support representative you get this time will respond to your follow-up email.

I had bought MF3 at a local retail store so I had to scan my receipt. If I had bought directly from Ulead I think all I would have had to do is give customer support the order number.

I did call back and the problem had been that the customer service rep had not been in to work since my email. I emailed the new rep I talked to and have the link. Thanks for the help! I am finding version 4 to be working fine, much better than 3, at least for me.

That's good news.

Did you also get a link to the additional content? I had to write back because my customer service representative didn't include that link the first time. But, he quickly sent me the additional link.

Yes, I received both links, but I think the extra content link was available on the ULead website without a special link, also. Of course, it will only install if you have the main program (not trial) installed.
