White background?
I've just reinstalled PI XL and Gif Animator after getting a new Vista system in January. It's been a whilte since I've used Gif Animator (but it does, for the most part, work with Vista). The help files aren't working that it's driving me nuts. I have a beautiful little animation but I'd like it to have a white background so the file size is a little smaller. I cannot figure out how to make the background opaque. Can anyone help please?

Don't know the answer to the problem but you can get a copy of the manual at this link:

You don't mention if this is a UGA file you previously worked with or a GIF file...
If this was from a UGA file you had made, make sure there is no solid white object in the Object Manager. If there is, delete it.
If it's in GIF format and there's a white background in all the frames/objects, you'll have to edit each object with the Magic Wand, selecting and deleting the background for each.
When you optimize, you could also try changing the matte to NONE.
