Free Trial of VideoStudio 11.5 Plus

Post by scotwei »

I downloaded the trial version of VideoStudio 11.5 Plus so that I could test how well the program worked with my Canon Vixia HF10 camcorder. Prior to installing the program, I had downloaded some of the video (in .m2ts format) from the camcorder to my PC.

Looking at the software updates, it looks like I need the 11/6/07 update pack and the power pack to work with M2TS files. Also, it seems that I cannot install these updates with the trial version. If this is true, the trial version is of no use to me.

Am I missing something or is there some way for me to test VideoStudio on M2TS files before I buy the package?

Thanks,
Scott

Welcome to the forums,

First if your trial version is in fact 11.5, the Power Pack is of no use. The Power Pack is to upgrade 11.0 plus versions. I would be surprised that Corel has changed the TBYB (trial) version from 11.0 plus to 11.5 plus.

It is correct that patches and the Power Pack will not install to TBYB versions.

You could also buy the full version but if it does not work, seek a refund. They have a policy which allows this.

Another possibility is that VideoStudio 12 has recently been released in Japan. Hopefully that version will be released worldwide soon and so it is worth checking the Corel Website at least once a week to see if it has been released. The trial version of VS12 should follow shortly after.
