Error message when adding chapters...

Post by stormcab »

I have just downloaded the windows patch and the ulead patches for VS11 PLUS and everything seemed to be fine when going through the create disc section. When I pressed the add/edit chapter and choose a chapter interval, the error message comes up and asks whether I want to send an error report, then shuts down create disc. I can go through to burn a disc if I leave out this option, but I want chapters.

Thanks

What do you mean by 'the Windows patch'? Is that the update to DirectX?

You also need to elaborate on your source material.
What is it (MPEG2, DV, DivX, WMV an so on)
Where did it come from?

Are you working with a VSP project file or a pre-rendered video.

Sorry, yes, the direct x update.

it is pre rendered-

pal dvd
lower field
70%
mpeg audio

everything I have been doing with VS 9 for 2 years. In fact I have reinstalled VS9 just to burn to DVD which still works fine. first I couldn't get past the theme page, then I downloaded all the patches (DirectX and Ulead updates) which got me past that. Now I can't add chapters without it dying on me.
Cheers

Have you tried adding chapters in the Editing phase?

No I wouldn't call it a bug, I've never had that happen with any of the VS versions, and I would suspect that many others have not had this happen.
