Panasonic mini dv camcorder!!HELP!!HELP

I got Panasonic nv-gs280 and I want to send video on my pc via usb cable but there is no chance to do it!When I click on removable disc it says that there is no media in it but my PC recognize it as usb mass storage device!Is there any software which I should use, drivers or something else!Please if there is a software can you post me a link for download, cause I have searched google and couldn't find anything!!?

Have you recorded something to your sd card?
If so, you can just use drag and drop from windows explorer.

If you're talking about capturing video from the minidv tape, then you need to connect using a firewire (IEEE1394/dv) cable not usb.

Do I need special sofware in case of using firewire??

No special software needed for using Firewire. Any drivers are included with either WinXP or Vista.

When transferring (capture) video using Firewire, you should transfer the video in it's native DV format. We also recommend using the Type-1, and not Type-2 DV.
