Hi,
Has anyone else has had this happen to them and if anyone knows how to recover from it?
I just installed the upgrade to 11.5 plus from 11.0 plus and when VideoStudio loaded all my edited clips in the video section have completely vanished. Even the thumb nails to the original files are missing. Now the actual capture files, mp4 are still on the hard drive but all of the edits and the associated thumb nails are missing.
I have a few weeks of edits into these files, and I really hate the idea of having to redo them all. Does anyone have any ideas? When I edited the files, I did not save the clip. I was just relying on the crops.
Installed 11.5 Plus and lost all edits in mp4 files

I am afraid that is standard behaviour for reloads or upgrades of VS, though I have no idea why it has not been corrected before now. At the very least, I personally think Corel should have it highlighted on the boxed edition, or in very big type on their website when you download any upgrade...
It is one of the reasons we regularly tell people before they reinstall or upgrade to back-up their working clips and files in a separate directory from the VS one; then trasnfer them back once the new or reinstalled version is ready. But I guess you would not have seen that warning...
