Capturing Issue...

I just recently had Ulead 11.5 for the free trial and then bought 11 as I liked it. I easily captured with 11.5 but now with 11, I cannot capture video. When I go to the screen it remains almost locked up and I cannot click on any buttons, almost as if it is not there. Any remedies that anyone knows would be great.
