We have created a project using video that was captured in HDV format from a Canon XHA1 in VS 11+. We are ready to ¡§Create Disc¡¨ and burn it to a BD-RE. After we are sure it is set up just as we want it, we would like to burn it to BD-Rs at a later time.
Is it possible to save an image of the disc to our hard drive to burn more copies without needing to re-render the project? I know we could use the option ¡§Create disc image¡¨ when burning to DVD in Standard Definition, but that option is greyed out when burning to Blu-Ray.
There is an option to ¡§Create Blu-ray Folders.¡¨ Is that the same thing? If not, what does that do?
Thanks.

ks-atsf,
Since what you really want is a finished copy of of your final product I recommend using your existing CD/DVD software or getting MovieFactory to make an .iso copy.
Hope this helps,
Ron G.
Do you have any other CD/DVD tools such as Sonic's "RecordNow!"? It came preinstalled on my (now a few years old) HP Media Center computer. It allows me to create an image of a disc. Also Ulead's MovieFactory will do the same thing. Is it possible to save an image of the disc to our hard drive to burn more copies without needing to re-render the project?
I'm pretty sure that this will create the folders for a BR disc on your hard drive in the BR standard. This should be the same thing as create DVD folders (which I know for sure creates folders in the DVD Standard). DVD folders can be then used by selecting the Capture tab, then select Import from DVD/DVD-VR or AVCHD. I don't know if you can import HD/BR folders using this though..There is an option to ¡§Create Blu-ray Folders.¡¨ Is that the same thing? If not, what does that do?
