For the past two days I have been creating different project files, and suddenly, they are gone! They were getting stored under documents and settings\Movie Factory\ 5.0 Plus\DMF Temp\BURN_TEMP\VIDEO_TS only because that was the default location and I just used it... and now they're all gone! Under my Recent Documents, the shortcuts still exist, but there are no .dmz's now. Where could they have gone?
I understand that the my video files are somewhere else, stored, but geez - how would they just disappear? I looked in the recycle bin, I even tried using a recover deleted file tool -- to no avail.
Also, the one .dmz that is still around for some reason (out of like 5 that I was working on), suddenly will no longer burn to a DVD - I'm getting the VOB failed error... This same .dmz created a DVD earlier today.
Do I have the ability within Ulead to copy a DVD I just created? I see some references to DVD Copy, but I don't know if that's a separate product.
Thanks in advance for any help....

Welcome to the forums,
Unfortunately, they're gone..
The reason is due to the location you were saving them. In your Path statement notice the first TEMP, it means just that Temporarily. The program uses that folder to store files that it needs to do things like burning a disc. Then once it is done with those files, it deletes them.
I don't have DMF5 currently installed, however it is similar to DMF6. In the Preferences dialog (press F6 on your keyboard), you designate a drive and folder to use as a working folder. This would be one place I would opt to save my project files. However I don't, I create special folders for my projects, on another HDD, and name the folder to match the project I'm working on.
Windows uses the same principal, when they came up with the My Documents, My Pictures, My Videos, ect. That way it is established so you will not save your photos to the system folder.
Yes you can use the DVD to produce copies. The Copy DVD is just that, to make Copies of a DVD. You can also import any video files from that DVD, edit, create different menus, and then finally another DVD..
