PIX3 won't install on Vista SP1

Post by frenchbread »

Purchased PIX3 a week ago(download version) and installed on Vista, installed Vista Service Pack 1, photoimpact ran great. Had to reinstall Vista and SP1, when I tried to reinstall PIX3 the setup runs almost to completion but I get a corrupt cab file error and am forced to abort the install. Tried a fresh download, same problem, any clue?

Fault with your downloaded installation files.
I have X3 installed on at least two Vista Home Premium machines with SP1.

PIX3 won't install on Vista with SP1

Was PIX3 already installed before you downloaded the Vista Service Pack?
I had to reinstall Vista, installed SP1 and now when I run the PIX3 setup
I get through 90% of the install then get the message:

Error 1335 The cabinet file 'Data1' required for this installation is corrupt and cannot be used. This could indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package.

Downloaded the setup from Corel 3 times and a fourth using the trial version(Try Before You Buy) Same thing happened.

Can you try rolling back, or uninstalling the Vista SP1, then installing PI? Test to see if PI will install. If so then install the SP1. PI should work then.
