Audio distorting on slideshows
I am using DMF 6+ and am having issues with the audio files distorting when creating a slideshow. If I preview the show on the PC, all sounds fine but when I create the DVD and play it on through the DVD player, the songs are all distorted.
Does anyone know how I can fix this?

You didn't say what format you are converting from/to....
Try reducing the volume level (under the Edit Room tab).
When I convert from MPEG-2 audio to Dolby AC3, a volume setting of 75% seems to prevent distortion. (...I really don't understand why the Corel software would need a volume adjustment when making digital-to-digital conversion... But, it seems to help.)

Thanks Doug,
I'll try to describe better what I am doing to see if that helps.
1. Select "New Slideshow Project" from the "Video/Slideshow Disc" menu
2. Select Jpegs and MP3 files in the "Add Slideshow" option and apply transition and zoom effects
3. Select and edit the menu styles
4. Burn to DVD using DVD-Video
Forgive my ignorance but I can't find the "edit Room" tab to adjust the volume level. Where exactly is it?

I don't use MF much, but VideoStudio sometimes has problems with MP3s. Converting them to wav files is usually the fix.

Did you actually contact Ulead (Corel) or did you just post on this forum? This is a user's forum, and representatives of Ulead/Corel rarely visit.Due to a complete lack of response from anyone at Ulead regarding this problem...

Without knowing the full details of your files what we are doing here is educated guesswork. One possible cause of distortion is having the record level set to high whilst recording the audio. Another is using poor audio settings. Take a look at this range of available MP3 recording settings using the Lame MP3 encoder
