Anyway to adjust brightness/contrast/colour with Bluray?

Post by pkh »

Hardware Acceleration always kicks in when playing BD/HD and sometimes even SD. It is a problem because I lost all controls of brightness/contrast/colour which not even response to brightness change in Nvidia Control Panel. There is no such problem with Powerdvd and Arcsoft Totalmedia. Worst of all is that those brightness settings with SD playback will affect BD/HD but you can't change anything until you play another SD, adjust brightness, then play your BD/HD again to see if the setting is right. If not you have to do the SD adjust again. Is there a simple fix?

I try a simple test to lower color and brightness to minimum when playing SD. Then I change to a BD disc and the picture playback is dim in black and white but since Hardware Acceleration is on there is no way to change any brightness setting. Not even Nvidia control can do anything. Very strange and annoying. Any idea?
