WinDVD9 Plus - Can't disable hardware acceleration

Post by caskater »

I keep getting a slight stutter during HD DVD playback that is rather annoying. I had a similar problem in PowerDVD7 and after disabling hardware acceleration I was able to get smooth playback. For some reason I am incapable of disabling hardware acceleration. I go into the setup menu before I play a disc, deselect the option to enable HA, Apply and OK. Then when I begin playing the disc I go back into the setup menu and its been re-enabled! How the frak can I disable this option?

Hardware Acceleration is a part of your video card.
Right click the windows desktop and select
properties
settings
advanced.

From that point all graphics cards differ slightly on what you do next, but there should be a clear road sign.

I'm using Vista64 with the Intel G35. I don't see any options for video hardware acceleration in its control panel.

Plus, I don't want to disable all hardware acceleration for the entire operating system... that just doesn't make any sense.

I take the long silence as a "its not possible." Is that right?

No one here monitors the forums 24 hours a day, most of us (if not all) work for a living, we are volunteers who do this in our spare time.
