The album transitions no longer work. I am using VideoStudio 11.5 plus with Windows XP. I am sure they worked when I first got it and i have even tried uninstalling then re-installing but they still don't work. Can anyone help me please?
Thanks

Album transitions have been a problem since they were introduced. For some people they work sometimes, for others not at all. Sorry that's all I can offer.

... And sometimes they never seem to work at all either in Clip or Project view, but when you render a new video using them, hey presto! They work in the final video...
So you could always test this by finishing your editing then go to Share > Create Video File > DVD (or whatever final format your want) then play the resulting video back either in the VS preview window or in a third party software player, to see if the album transitions rendered correctly. Anyway, that has been my experience with them...

My experience of the album transitions is that they do work
BUT
They are very slow at rendering and so many may think they have seized up.
The trick is to use only a few of these transitions - say between themes rather than scenes. By this consider a movie of your holidays where you mix in a slide show or two with your videos. The video will have scene changes - so use straight cuts or cross fades. When moving to the slide show throw in an album transition at the change from video to slide show, then another at the end where you change back to a video.
Having prepared your new video let it render overnight while your asleep.

Check to see if you have the latest version of DirectX.
I had to upgrade mine for the all the transitions to work.
Get the latest DirectX November 2007 DirectX. Redistributable is at:
