Writing to disk VideoStudio 9

With my previous version of VideoStudio 8 I had no problems writing to disk. Now with Version 9 I cannot write to disk. The program runs to Total Progress 82% and hangs. I tried re -installing the program but the same result. I am using Win XP and the Ram is 1G. Can anyone help please.
