Best Buy has several Epsons that print to DVD, the cheapest being $150.

Thanks Jeff!
it's been a while since I last looked, but Amazon has the RX595 from $95, and you can pick up a refurbished one from $70. That's a bit more like it for me. The Epson cartridges are really expensive though. Anyone have experience using the six colour refill kits on this model? I've always had a bit of a downer on Epsons since they seem expressly designed to maximise profits on consumables.

It's not so much that the cartridges are expensive, but the R800 seems to drink it like it's going out of style. That's why I said I held on to my old printer for everyday stuff. I only use the Epson to print discs.

Right, I had read that they were "thirsty", as well as quite noisy. If I had to get the Epson, I too would only use it for disc printing, even though it gets pretty good reviews for it's photo printing abilities. Pity it's a 3 in 1, since I'm happy with our HP 3 in 1, which is great for colour copies and a quick scanner. I would prefer a minimal disc printer with the smallest possible footprint.
Regarding the ink - I would never buy a printer that I could not refill myself, since there's about a 90% saving in costs by doing that. I also bought a chip resetting device for my brother's Epson, and he used that successfully to get the printer to accept that the cartridges were full. Since refilling cartridges is such a straightforward and environmentally sound thing to do, I resent the Epson policy of having a chip with the sole apparent purpose of preventing refilling.
