I did a search, but didn't find anything specific.
What I want to do is burn a disc with HD content to a proper format. When I open the VS project into the burn module and try to select an output quality, all the templates are restricted to 740X... I need to output to 1440X1080 in order to maintain the quality. I realize this is HD format and not having a Blu-Ray burner means I won't get a true BR disc, but other programs allow burning HD content to standard DVDs but at a much lower capacity (20 min.). I have a few days left on my 11+ trial to decide if I want to upgrade from 10+. Having moved to an HD camcorder I need to know if VS will continue to be my editor of choice or if I need to move to something that handles HD better. Thanks.
Making an HD burn template

I've not seen the trial version so I'm not sure about this. When you go to Share>Create Disc, do you have as an option HD DVD?

Choosing that option the template in the burn module does provides the following MPEG Project Settings:

The video file I had in the time line was a SD MPEG-2, created from a DV file, hence the Lower Field first. However I do think that VS11.5+ will be able to handle your video..
Etech will be able to confirm this, he has posted a lot about using VS11 with HD formats..

I could be wrong but possibly the initial format for editing was standard definition, in which case you get SD output formats.
You may need to create a template for a HD time-line then you get proper HD templates for output
As I said I said I could be wrong because my first attempt at HD was in fact HD down converted to SD in the timeline.
