I have Movie Factory bundled with my new Toshiba Satellite notebook.
I have a problem when I try adding .avi files. It always pops up saying file is not accessible. I've tried many different .avi files but still no luck
Any help in resolving this would be appreciated.

Adding .avi
AVI is not a single format, but rather a "wrapper" or "container" format that can contain audio/video with any compression-scheme. (The AVI file-header has a code indicating what CODEC is required to decompress the file.) Where did your AVI files come from? ...Are you stuck with the current format, or can you re-capture to another format?
You can try using SUPER (FREE!!!) to convert your files to DVD compatable MPEG-2. You can look at one of the Movie Factory Project-Templates to find the settings (resolution, framerate, bitrate, etc) for a DVD compatible MPEG-2 file.
And, you can use GSpot (FREE!!) to find out what CODECs/compression format was used to create your AVI file.
