I'm trying to capture video from my DVD player using VS 11. I've already installed the updates to VS11 but any time I select "capture video" an error dialogue is displayed with the following message: "Cannot start the capture graph."
Does anyone have any idea what this means and a solution? This problem occurs on my PC running Windows Vista but not my Laptop running Windows XP.
"Cannot start the capture graph."

I have the same problem, i bought a Video Xpress and was capturing stuff from my game system(xbox 360, composite input) it was working find for a couple of hours till i closed it, later on i opened it up again and did the usual, when i clicked on "capture video" the same message popped up "Cannot Start Capture Graph". I was capturing in the lowest format MPEG-1, i have a couple if clips that i have captured before this problem but it will not let me capture anymore.. One more thing I also tried reinstailling and it did not hepl i reapeted this 3 times and nothing i still get the same message...
