Unable to open VSP file

Post by Hamel »

Hi,

I know that MF6 is unable to open the VSP file even if we can choose this type of file in the list (strange, isn't ?). To bypass this problem, we must to create a video file in VS and then, to import it in MF6. My VSP project has some chapter points and few effects.
-What can I do to preserve especially all chapter points ?
-Do you know if Corel have a plan to correct this bug ?

Thank you very much. Have a good day.

Yes DMF6 is able to use VSP files. I just tested this, using a VSP from VS11+.

Hi,
I don't know what you do, but me, I am not able to read VSP files in DMF6+. I saw and read people on this forum having the same problem. What's wrong with my DMF6+ ? I tested some suggestions described on this forum, nothing... That still doesn't function. I get the same message : unable to open file... unable to read the file.
Thank you very much to help me. Have a good day.

I done some more short tests on this.

I do have some VSP files that for unknown reasons, DMF6 will not read. I first thought this to be version related, ie; VS11 VSP files. So I tried using VSP files from VS10, which all inserted without problems.

However this is where that theory gets blown. I found some other VS11 VSP files, and was able to insert them into DMF6. So I'm now thinking that the VSP file that would not insert is corrupt. Not so, I was able to open it in VS11.

So in VS11 I saved that same file to VS10 VSP. I then opened DMF6, and was able to insert it. :o  :?

What version(s) of VS are you using? If you have VS11+, you might try Save-As, and select VS10 vsp. Then try inserting that one into DMF6..

Don't know why this is, other than it's a computer..;)

Hi Vidoman,

I use VS11+.
I tried your suggestion. DMF6+ is able to open my VSP project saved in VS10 format. However, I lost all chapter points and almost effects are not the same. I'm asking me why I bought DMF6+ if I'm not able to open a VS file even if the option is available. In spite of this problem, I will continue to use DMF6+ in a different manner to bypass this bug. Maybe, Corel will launch an update or a new version to correct this problem (bug).
Thank you very much.
