Try unchecking the audio stream in the Windows Volume Control for Recording just before you begin a capture. The following link is the "cure" we point members to who 'lose' their audio so simply reverse the suggestions!

The only way to mute all of them, is to join them all, ie; Share>Create Video File. Using the Same As First Video Clip or Same As Project Settings should provide for a fairly quick rendering. However there is another way I just thought of...
Instead of using the Same As... Choose the Custom, located on the bottom of the menu in the Share>Create Video File. Then in the Save As window, leave the File Type as Microsoft AVI, and press the Options button. In the options window go to the General tab, and for Data Track, select Video Only.
Give your file a name, and press Save. It still should render out a file fairly fast. Now you will have a video file without the audio. However keep in mind that there will not be any unmuting to regain the audio...
Since you're working with DV (avi) there will not be any loss in quality..
Just a possible workaround.
Edited
I done a quick test where I dropped in several DV video clips, total time of project was 30 mins. I rendered a single video file, using the above, Video Only in the Data Track options. It only took about 5 mins to render this.
Prior to removing everything Save the Project, File>Save. Then I would suggest though, removing everything except the video, ie; remove any transitions, titles, overlays from your project. That way all you're rendering is the video track that you want the audio removed. Do not save the VSP again yet, and here's why...
Once the rendering is complete, close VS and when asked do not save it. Then open VS again, and select your VSP, and it will have all the stuff you removed. Replace the main video with the newly created one. You should have minimal adjusting to do now, to get you back to where you were.. (hopefully)..
Or once the rendering is complete, you can "undo" your way back..
