Hi all - newbie question.
The manual and help talk about how to create cue and chapter points but doesn't describe what they are for.
I know a chapter point is defines the start of a chapter that you can skip to directly in playback (and in your menu on a DVD), but what is a cue point for?
Difference between cue point and chapter point

Welcome to the forums,
Cue points are basically just markers. Say you want to sync images in a slideshow to the beat of your music. Placing cue points along the time line will help you with placement of your images.
I've also used them when cutting up clips, marking the start and end of the bad places. Once I have the clip marked, I make the cuts, and delete the bad sections.
