Just before Blu-Ray "won" the war, I had created two HD projects (no longer on hard drive) and burned them to HD-DVD. Now I have only those discs, which I can play only on my HD-DVD player. I'd like to get them into AVCHD.
Is there some way to import those EVO files into VS so that I can then burn an AVCHD disc? I've tried the various options in the program but had no luck; seems to "import" or "open" only regular DVD and/or AVCHD.
Can You "Import" an HD-DVD, then Burn to AVCHD?

You can read this link to convert the videos back to mpeg2 format again.
Then use them in the avchd module. Rename the EVO files to MPG

Converting HD-DVD to AVCHD - Why No Sound?
I followed the excellent input on the link and was able to convert one of the 2 HD-DVDs I have with no trouble. The other, however, won't produce any audio once it's imported into the editing timeline.
Any ideas why?
