WinDVD 8 Activation Issues

Post by NobleArc »

Whenever I try to activate WinDVD 8 on Vista Business, I get an error message stating:
You are currently installing Product. The license you have specified is intended for "WinDVD 8". Go to the InterVideo web site to download the appropriate application, or check your license information.
I've made sure all the product information is correct... what should I do? Just try re-installing it?

Reinstalling it may work.. Try what's suggested on Corel's Knowledgebase for Activation Issues..

Couldn't get it to work no matter what I did, even if I ran it as administrator, but after I plugged my lappy right into an Ethernet connection (rather than using the wireless) it worked fine. Weird.

Sounds like your wireless router has a firewall.
