Since I just need basic cool stuff not the way far cool stuff I might try the Cool3d first.
I assume the full blown production version has the way far cool stuff?
Are most of the effects in C3D also in C3DPS?
I have found training manuals from VASST to support these programs.
Anyone else knows of training stuff?
Re is it waste to try C3D if later I might buy C3DPS?
Everything in Cool3D is also in Production Studio.
PS adds some new effects and possibilities, and more contents (objects).
If you have C3D you can then upgrade to PS and get back some of the price you paid.
Anyway the best advice would be to download both trial versions and make your own mind.

This my understanding of it.
I have been proven wrong on several occasions in my life. It's not going to improve.
