High definition editing

I have a Panasonic HDC-SD5 camcorder. It offers .mts, .m2ts (= mpeg2 transfer stream) and mpeg2 .mpg output formats which are not recognized by VS-11 as far as I can work this out. Cannot put them in the timeline nor capture them nor import them in mobile apparatus capture mode.
Can anyone help here? I bought VS-11 with the intension to use it to edit high definition video.

Have you installed all VS 11 patches.

Try a search on the videostudio forum for m2ts , lots of reading may be useful

I also have the same camera and I am able to edit the files. You require VideoStudio Plus 11.5. As far as I can tell, this is VideoStudio 11 Plus and then you install an update package that gives you the extra ".5" from the Support site.

I found that I needed to use the Proxy Manager to get any useful performance out of it though...
