This is not a good sign for me.
Up till now I've been running DMF3.0DC with the 'e' patch.
Now I installed the trial version of DMF4.0DC and tried to create a DVD on Disk prior to burning. One third the way through the Output phase, DMF crashed. This is almost the exact failure mode that I had when I installed the 'dl' patch for DMF3DC's. The project consisted of three titles where each was about 45 minutes in length. I suspect it barfed somewhere near the beginning of converting the 2nd title.
Has anyone else encounterd this type failure? If so, did you get a resolution?
I've been around the block three times with Ulead's Support and NEVER got a resolution.
I also completely uninstalled DMF3.0 and the common files before installing the 4.0 version.
I have a Dr. Watson trace if anyone happens to be interested. I can give much more info on the process and project settings I use if needed.
Any ideas on how to get this to work is appreciated.

Try removing the "Data-Add" components. It has cured a number of burning problems of various people. See...

jcc,
Thanks for the suggestion. I don't have the Data-Add component. My problem seems to be percipitated when I JOIN scenes into one title. If I leave the scenes unJOINed, the DVD VIDEO_TS directory and files are created successfully.
Once I JOIN the segments, then DMF aborts. Sometimes I can re-record the offending segments from my TiVo to my Sony DVD recorder and it will be ok.
I create the scenes by recording the TV episode on my Sony DVD recorder in DVD-RW VR mode. Then I edit out the commercials using the Sony Erase AB feature. Each remaining segment is imported into DMF as a scene.
Anyway, bottom line is something is happening when I join segments.
