I recently purchased VS 11 Plus and had been had been doing some minor editing without any noticeable problems. This was an upgrade from a prior version. I am running Vista Home Premium.
Today I attempted to start VS and I received an error message that VS had stopped working. I rebooted twice. Still the application would not start.
The complete error message reads as follows:

I have not added or removed any hardware. There was an Apple update. Safari was downloaded and perhaps a new version of Quicktime.
The last time I used VS was on March 9th...all was well. I went out of town from 12th through the 21st and completely shut down my system. I unplugged it. March 24th I tried to use VS and got the error message.
There are actually two error messages that pop up. The first one that is in my first post and a slightly different message that follows the first message. That second message is as follows:
