Full Version of Ulead Movie Factory 5.6

Post by cecil9 »

Where can I get a full Version of Movie Factory 5.6 .

I got the Corel package with the purchase of my Canon HG Camcorder but now I hear that it is not the full program.

So how do I get the full program.

Thanks Cecil

Welcome to the forums,

Simply put, you can't. That is a special version supplied to vendors, such as Toshiba. Ulead or Corel has only sold versions 5/5+, and the current release 6/6+ to the public.

You could download the trial version of MovieFactory 6+ from here: DVDMF6+ Trial

Thanks for your reply, I tried the 6+ version but it does not have the AVCHD section that my camera has.

Maybe thats because this program came out in January of 2007 and my camcorder came out January of 2008.

Maybe they have an update that I am note aware of.

You need to purchase the Retail Version of MF6+ and then install the patch#2 to MF6+ in order to install that HD-Add-On pack.

You cannot install the HD-Add-On to the trial version of MF6+

You would only need to install Patch# 2 first before installing the HD-Add-On Pack.
So you install the Retail Version of MF6+, then patch#2, then the HD-Add-On pack.
It also helps to install the latest version of Directx 9.0C dated November 2007 or later.
(The HD-Add-On pack does come with a directx update, I think it's dated September 2007)

Thanks for the info, have just purchased MF6+ Box version and HD package download, so when it arrives will install it, then patch 2, then install the HD package.

I already have the latest DX 9.oc

Will let you know how it turns out.

Installed MF6+, then patch 2,then HD package, and it just does not work.

Cannot get into Edit Room using AVCHD files no matter what I do.

So corel needs to take a good look at the program and do more patch work.

Sending back for a full refund.

canon hg 10 and corel software

Post by garyreeb »

I just got the HG 10 with the corel ulead dvd movie factory SE software; and am experiencing the same problems other people have mentioned here. Is this really not a "complete" program. What is the next best purchase option for editing software? I just want to do normal editing, burning dvds, standard and avchd. :?:

Monitor board

Post by gary60 »

Does anyone know if corel monitors this board? I have been using corel products for years. I think that I have used every version of Word Perfect going back to 4.1, which was before Corel bought it. It seems to me that if so many people are having the same problems they would want to fix it. Does anyone know if there is other software that you can use with a Canon HD 10? I, also am only interested in the basics and do not want to do any fancy editing.

I can answer part of your post.. Corel does not monitor this forum. It is on a very rare occasion that one might visit.

Where can we get a definitive answer on how to edit AVCHD/.MTS files created on the Canon HG10 camera and then loaded onto a non-Mac computer?

I have just edited 6 hours of video produced on a HG10 using Sony Vegas Premium. This is an excellent program but you do need a powerful PC. The only thing I haven't been able to do is write the edited file back to the HG10, can any of the Corel products do this?
