Print Options in PI X3

Post by simonbuys »

If you press the File > Print button, one of the options on the right is "Options...". If you accept that option, you get a new window with two tabs, one about Calibration and another one about Halftones (see picture below). The PI Help file gives some information about these possibilities, about one percent of what I would need to even begin to understand these matters. Does anybody know where we can find more information?

These things are printer related. You'll have to consult your printer driver manual for info.

If it were that easy, I wouldn't have asked. But thanks anyway, Heinz. If anybody has suggestions about what you can do on these tabs Calibration and Halftone (apart from leaving checked the boxes "Use printer's default"), I would be very grateful. As I said, the PI Help does give some information, but only enough to make one even dizzier.

Halftone, when I first heard the term, meant inserting a photo in a fabric mesh net carrier so that the first models of Xerox (TM) copiers could produce output without toner sticking to the paper all blocked up black. Instead, the pictures looked like they had been taken through a screen door.

The rest seems self explanitory - HP gives you adjustment options to play with before you set them back to default.
