VOB / IFO - What does it take to edit in VideoStudio 7?

Post by Allllan »

I got a new Sony Camcorder today, with this awesome built in DVD burner, and this videostudio 7.0 So how the heck am I suppsoed to edit if it won't read those files? lol

I can't figure out how to convert them, copy them, or do absolutely anything to get them into the program to edit.

I thought I was pretty handy at maneuvering around the PC, but this has me stumped.

Help?!

Go to the File menu, select Change capture plug-in, then choose the Ulead DVD-VR plugin.

Next, go to the Capture tab and click on Capture Video. Select the drive containing the DVD from your camcorder. Presto!

If you have the model of camcorder which creates its own mini-DVDs, then when you're done shooting, you open up the camcorder, remove the DVD, go to your computer and sit down, put the DVD into your computer's DVD tray, and import from there.

I only wish it were that easy for those of us who shoot with tape.
