I'm trying to access files from my Canon HG10 camcorder using the DirectShow filters supplied by the retail version of Video Studio 11.5+. The HG10 records to AVCHD-encoded MPEG Transport Stream files. If I build a filtergraph with the Ulead MPEG Splitter, the output pin incorrectly claims the datatype is MPEG2 when it's actually AVCHD/H.264. Since the InterVideo decoder's deinterlacing cannot be disabled and it does not do pulldown reversal, I've been trying to use other decoders such as ffdshow. Unfortunately, these other decoders don't work since the splitter is reporting the wrong encoding.
Does anyone know either how I can fix the pin's output or how I can notify Corel of this bug?
