windvd 9 disapointing scrolling and audio/video situation
Windvd 9 is much better, but I cannot ever ever use the audio and video enhancements. Only the audio enhancements for a dvd in the drive. But never at anytime did I get video enhancement. I like to play dvd files off my hard drive. Don't even try to play unprotected video .vob because you cannot scroll through the movie like you can mpeg2. I am hoping corel will fix this, I don't know.

Welcome to the forums,
I have a question, when you state that you don't play "unprotected vob files" what do you mean by that? When you play a DVD from your hard drive that is exactly what you're playing. If you look inside the Video_TS folder on your hard drive, you will see several VOB files, which are the container files for the MPEG-2 files.
I've never tried any of the audio and video enhancements with the program so I can't provide any comment on that..

unprotected material
Well if you were watching unencrypted material as .vob is is more of a difficulty scrolling than if you are using mpeg2. That is all.

The purpose of providing a meaningful title is this.
There are a number of members on the forum who try and help troubleshoot problems - myself included. In the early days of the user forum it was not too difficult to be able to read all of the posts submitted since the last time I (or one of the other troubleshooters) had logged on.
On the Forum Home page at the top right is a link
view posts since last visit In the forums early days this would perhaps range between 10-30 posts. Today however the board has grown in popularity and more products are now catered for including the former Intervideo products before the merger with Ulead.
There have been days when I have logged on to find over 70 new posts since my last visit. It is of course impossible to read each and every one of them and so it is necessary to look at the titles to pick out posts where I feel I am able to offer some worthwhile input.
if you are viewing perhaps the VideoStudio forum and a post is entitled
"VideoStudio" - it doesn't really give you a clue, similarly in the PhotoImpact forum a post entitled [PhotoImpact] is equally as meaningless.
Giving a post a suitable title is a means of helping us to help you.

I see what you mean, if you pause a DVD movie and drag the slider somewhere else, upon resuming the movie it bounces back to where you paused it. Works correctly with a video file though.
