How to re-size clip in overlay track?

Post by Banji Abereoje »

Hi all,

Pls help. Using MSP 8 how do I resize a video clip in overlay track so that I can position it anywhere I want on the screen? Or is it only image clip that can be re-sized?

Thanks

Are you sure you are in the right board? MSP doesn't have specific overlay tracks and resizing is done with Moving Path, the same as any other track.

Right click the clip and select "moving path". If you don't want it to move, just make sure the details from the first keyframe are copied to the last.

Also once you give it a moving path, on the preview screen, not source, you will notice the dotted-line outline and the 4 grab handles on the corner. You can also resize using them. It's a bit of pain to do though..;)

You will need to keyframe each new size or movement in the Moving Path Effects panel too..
