HELP eSellerate Engine
HELP eSellerate Engine
I just upgraded my mp3 rocket to include the movie factory, however, I am not able to open the icon. What is a eSellerate engine and why won't it allow me to access Movie Factory after I download the software from the mp3 rocket customer service support page. I did not have my mc afee firewall on and I'm running vista. I upgraded last night and downloaded the software to burn movies to a cd, but it will not allow me access after I click on the icon. I did contact customer support, but I thought I would try this way also, hopefully there will be someone out there who knows what I need to do. Also when I click on the icon it says that I cannot use this trial version because some access rights do not allow me to set some registry information, (This is not a trial version) then it states that my eSellerate engine is not installed. What am I doing wrong. I removed the program twice and reinstalled it. I have Java. Why, oh why am I having so much trouble?

Welcome to the forums,
I found your post on the MP3 Rocket forum, where they pointed you to this forum. I hope this does not get into a "passing the buck" problem.
First eSellerate is a product activation service. Developers can use eSellerate for activating their products, which helps cut down on piracy. I'm not aware that Corel uses eSellerate. I tried locating "Ulead" or Corel DVD MovieFactory on the esellerate's affilliate webpage, however it is not listed. Could you advise if you received the program from MP3Rocket or did you purchase it from Corel?
IF you purchased or obtained your DVD MovieFactory from MP3Rocket, you will need to contact them. If you purchased if from Corel, then you will need to contact Corel Customer Service.
What version is your DVD MovieFactory? For instances the current release is DVD MovieFactory 6 or 6+. Does your version have an SE at the end? These are what's called Special Editions (or what we call Simple Editions). They are not the full version, have some features disabled, patches can not be installed to them, do not qualify for any support, and are generally for giving you a taste of what the program does, enough so you will be enticed to purchase the full version.
Again not trying to pass the buck, but if you obtained your copy from a third-party vendor, you will need to contact them...
