I've got a Sony HDR SR-7 that I'm shooting the highest quality HD (AVCHD) with Dolby 5.1 Surround. I can import the files into VS11.5+, but then have to use proxies to edit with as my PC is doesn't seem powerful enough to play the M2TS files back on the timeline without stuttering.
What I would like to come out with in the end is a PAL 720/576 DVD with 5.1 audio and an HD file that I can play either on a PC or in an HD-DVD player. In an ideal world, I'd also like to be able to put the finished programme back onto the camera's hard drive, so that I could play it back from the camera using it's HDMI output.
