Can anyone tell me the correct output setting for an HD quality animation? I know the size should be 1920 X 1080 for 1080-I, but which field should be rendered first? And for 720-P the screen size should be 1280 X 720, but for the progressive scan, is it better to use frame-based, or just go with interlaced (top or bottom) and let the editing software figure it out?
I'm trying to make an animation that will be universally acceptable, and I know rendering will take forever, but I'm willing to deal with that.
Any ideas would be great.
Cool 3D PS output settings for HD editing
It all depends on how it will be viewed, final output, etc....
Frame-based is used for animation. Now if one incorporates video, it depends how one's NLE handles the different sources. Ulead software allows one to use frame-based and fields together on the timeline. Just set project settings to match your desired output.
