Stringbeing,
When you get back to the editing phase, after using the Movie Wizard, you can delete the theme clips. You will need to make sure the timeline is in "timeline view" not "storyboard view" so you can see the overlay clips. You will probably want to go to the end and delete the theme there are well.
This feature can be annoying especially when you don't add all the clips at once. When you return to the Wizard to add more clips to your project, it will add the theme at the end of your project. Then you have to remove it again. In my opinion, there should be a way to select "no theme".

There is a way, it's called the Editor. The Movie Wizard was designed so that themes or rather templates could be used to produce interesting and more professional videos, without having to manually do this.
The Editor allows for tweaking what the Wizard produces, or for complete control over your editing. The Wizard without adding or using the themes is nothing more than using the editor to add your clips.
Sorry it just makes no sense to me, to use the Movie Wizard if all you're doing is adding clips, or images without the themes...
