VS11+ can handle HDVsplit files?

Post by elai1108 »

Can someone confirm that VS11+ can handle files produced by HDVsplit?

I have searched the forum but didn't find a definitive answer.

Thanks in advance!

Yes, the retail version can (with updates installed), NOT VS11+ Trial version.
Retail version of VS11+ with the Patches can insert the videos captured by HDVSplit from a HDV Camcorder.

VS10+ in one of the patches (I think it was the first patch that was released )added TS -> PS conversion and also added a feature to write back to HDV tape. After installing the patch when you click on a file that is in the TS format VS10+ then prompts you to convert the file, answer Yes and the file is then duplicated (in it's same source directory) in the PS format and a .mpg extension is added to the file.
The process is fast and there is no re-encoding involved.
Editing PS mpeg video is faster than TS editing (smart rendering)

VS10+ not recognizing m2t file format

Post by elai1108 »

Hi etech6355,

I tried to insert m2t file into VS10+ (with SP1) but it says format not recognized.

Any suggestion on how to resolve this?
