Will VideoStudio 8 Run in Vista?

Will VideoStudio 8 Run in Vista?
Seemed to be a flawless install, but then won't open. Will I have to go to
VS 11?
And if I do, are all the "bug" rumors true, running in Vista?
Thanks for help!

No, VS8 won't run under Vista.
You might as well wait for VS12, which has been released in Japan and should be available to us in a few weeks. Hopefully, with one made-for-Vista version under their belt, VS12 will work a little better.
In the mean time you could download the VS11.5 trial to see how it works.

Video Studio was released before Vista, and there was not a Vista Update for it. (There was a Vista update for VS10.)
So, you should probably download the trial version of VS11.

Thank you Jeff.
Let me point out that I really don't need to do the fancy stuff, and I would be perfectly happy to continue using VS8. If all I wanted was the same capabilities in VS11, say, would it work well in Vista or is it just the more advanced ones that seem to give trouble? If the basic capabilities of VS11 would work fine in Vista, I would probably buy it, because I don't know if I am ready for the price tag of VS12.
I'll also try the trial of VS 11.5.

The fact that you tried it and it didn't work, then had a couple people tell you it wouldn't work, should have given you a clue.
I only shouted because you didn't hear us the first time.
