error message:some chapter entry frame numbers

Post by cheenis »

Hello,

I'm getting the following error message whilst rendering my project: 'some chapter entry frame numbers exceed the total frames' It i after the 'converting videos' part of the process when it is doing the audio multiplexing (I think that is what it is doing) it's the home straight anyway.

Does anybody have any idea what is wrong? Does anybody know how to solve the problem? Do I have too many chapters? I have two main bits of video; one with 9 chapters and the other with 6 chapters. Could it be the length of my chapter titles? Clutching at straws here!

I'm using version 2.0 of the movie factory - will an upgrade solve this problem? Can I open my project in a new version of the Movie Factory?

Any help very much appreciated!

Cheers,

Cheenis.

Hi, I had a similar message once, and this is what caused it, maybe you have a similar situation.

I created a project with a chapter point at a timecode, then decided to trim the video, and my new end point was BEFORE the point where I originally had a chapter point, meaning that the chapter was pointing to a place that no longer existed. This resulted in an error message similar to what you had.

Greg,

You are a genius! This makes total sense. I had two films which I put chapters in and then decided to put the second one first, thus the times must be out of sync. I'll try this later tonight and then hopfully I will be able to churn out the video without errors!

Thank you very, very much for your help!

Cheers,
