Choppy Sound & Picture with WinDVD 7 Gold!

Post by Shay0644 »

DVD's should not be this complex to play on a system that has a CD/DVD Drive. Video & Audio is really choppy! I have a Compaq Presario SR1620NX. Running Window's XP. I checked all system requirements and everything checks out okay. I even did what www.intervideo.com/support suggested by downloading DirectX 9.0. I don't want to just give up after dropping all that cash for the software. Im at a loss and any help ya'll could give would be awesome and if i knew ya personally i'd pay ya :) If you can give me advice then thank you in advance!

I take it you have tried more than one DVD thus eliminating that as the fault.
If so try pressing the [Ctrl] [Alt] {Del] keys together and check to see how man running processes you have and how much RAM is currently in use.

Possibly the DVD drive is faulty, try copying the entire DVD to a hard drive folder and then play it from there.

Thank you sir, for you'r timely help in this matter. I did as you suggested by copying the movie to a hard-drive folder and now it works just fine. I feel like I owe you something for you'r help. Thanks again and have a great weekend.
