I got an email saying "New VisualStudio 11.5 Plus" now available and can now :
Capture AVCHD, DVD, DV and Hard Drive models
Share video on DVD, HD DVD, Blu Ray Disk, Tape and Web
Blu-Ray burning
Author HD Videos on standard DVD in AVCHD and play on Blu Ray
This is all great, but I have some questions :
1) Do you have to purchase the upgrade if you have version 11
2) What kind of PC specs do you need (Chip, Ram, Video card) to play nicely with VisualStudio (Min spec normally dont play nice)
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
at first a big thanks for the response to my last question - Internet was the last days interrupted and I bought the upgrade Version from VS9 to 11.5+.
In Germany you'll get the complete package to 11.5+, 11 seems to be outdated. Corel offers a upgrade package free of charge to 11.5+ if you have bought VS11.
But I'm really disappointed about VS11 (and of course 11.5+). Surely it has some new and interesting features but it's not possible to make clean and smooth records with a analog TV-Card.
VS11.5+ isn't able to synchronize correct videos and loses frames, the clips jerks also if there are no drop outs.
You can't adjust the loudness in VS 11+ during a record (greyed out), the only record plugin comes from Intervideo and needs at least 75% of the CPU- and PC-Resources. There is no chance to make better adjustments in VS 11++, because there are simply no controllers, wdm drivers are not found, or better don't exists, in VS 11.5+.
A PC with a Pentium IV HT (2,6 GHz, 1 GByte RAM, more than enough free space on harddisks, very less autoruns) is therefore simply overcharged with these glitchy "features beyond any discussion".
Actual I'm digitize my Videos with VS 9 (without any problems and less than 40% resourcees) and import these then in VS11.5+ to produce DVDs because of some serious gliches in VS9's DVD-Authoringtool.
Sorry but I can't recommend VS11.5+ actual in any way.
Michael
BTW.: I hadn't used the Hotfix, because the installation of VS11.5+ had worked without any problems. Seems that I had bought the least new version of VS.

The purpose of providing a meaningful title is this.
There are a number of members on the forum who try and help troubleshoot problems - myself included. In the early days of the user forum it was not too difficult to be able to read all of the posts submitted since the last time I (or one of the other troubleshooters) had logged on.
On the Forum Home page at the top right is a link
view posts since last visit In the forums early days this would perhaps range between 10-30 posts. Today however the board has grown in popularity and more products are now catered for including the former Intervideo products before the merger with Ulead.
There have been days when I have logged on to find over 70 new posts since my last visit. It is of course impossible to read each and every one of them and so it is necessary to look at the titles to pick out posts where I feel I am able to offer some worthwhile input.
if you are viewing perhaps the VideoStudio forum and a post is entitled
"VideoStudio" - it doesn't really give you a clue, similarly in the PhotoImpact forum a post entitled [PhotoImpact] is equally as meaningless.
Giving a post a suitable title is a means of helping us to help you.
