VS12 released in Japan

Post by DLA »

VS12 have been released in Japan. http://ulead.co.jp/about/release/2008/080311.htm

I wonder how long we will have to wait to have it here. They had PI X3 more than 2 months before us.

Using google translation, these are of interest.

2. Title track editing multiple - multiple time difference in the title animation --
This mean 2 title tracks.

4. Effect overlay effects to apply truck
This mean transitions in the overlay, yeah finally :D :D :D

7. Audio files automatically cross-fade

10. Library project window - Multiple editing whole project management --
Some sort of better library manager

What are the translations to the other 5 points (assuming there are only 10)?

After completion, your music and video materials in combination with the original video to create a sense of fun. Also, drawing on the tablet and pen! Also supports pen pressure sensing and intuitive to describe details. Children's handwriting and drawings in addition to the memories of a family trip to the video, originality work can be finished.

#3 talks about the increased performance

#5 WANFUREMUMARUCHITORIMU(?), available on the library and simple it is possible to pre-edit. Multiple video files into one's work used, each truck clips on the need to edit the works efficiently. You can leave the original image, VideoStudio trim on the possession of information that it is also possible to change the location where the trim.

#6 Smart Pan & Zoom: Create automatic slide show when Pan & Zoom effect of significantly strengthening engine configuration. Face-recognition features, the works appear to be more natural.

#8 BAKKUDOROPPUTEKISUTO(?) features will be added to change shape! Oval or rectangular, decorative variations text has increased.

#9 Customizable MPEG Optimizer

Pretty cool stuff, BUT IT COSTS $15,000!!!

Normally edition: Tax \15,540 \ 15,540
Complimentary special edition: Tax \10,290 \ 10,290
Upgrade: Tax \8,379 \ 8,379

Clevo -- congratulations!!!! You have achieved the number of the Beast in your postings!! (666).

And you are right about the exchange rate, though if the upgrade costs that in Australia, then I for one will be disappointed since it is around $30 more than I paid for my upgrade to VS11+...

From what I understand (2008”N4ŒŽ––””„—\’è), release is scheduled end of April, 2008, not end of 2008.

You realise I cannot reply anymo....oops too late. :)

Well, since I have never payed for an upgrade as yet while $90 odd seems kinda steep maybe by release they will be cheaper and priced nicely for Australia.

They seem like pretty decent improvements though.

VS 12 Fixes

Post by MIB »

I am still annoyed that I have not been able to use VS11+ on my Vista PC's with my camera's that worked fine with VS10+. I hope that Corel is paying attention to this forum and addresses this problem in VS12. I have used VS since version 7 and had never been disappointed untill what happened with VS11+ and Vista. When VS12 is available I will give it one last shot, but this time if VS12 does not work correctly I will get a refund instead of hanging on hoping the problems will be corrected and walk.

Looking at this Image
I see a transition in the overlay. I might be wrong but the picture tells me that.

Couple of links to more details on VS12. The second link appears to give better detail

What I really want to be able to do now is control the export properties of AVCHD files, as you can within MF6 - although that isn't full flexible from the project properties either. Lets hope the new version will improve on this
