Will I loose my project if I install the real version?

Post by Barney1 »

I have been working with a trial version for about a week now and the real version arrives on Friday. All I have been doing is cleaning (cutting) scenes and just saving the project. (.vsp). I have about 50 separate scenes thus fare on my way to about 135. When I uninstall the trial version and install the real version will I loose my current project data? I guess I can start over and if that is the case, I just wont go any further until the real version is installed.

Your vsp file, and source video files are probably in a default VS folder.

I would move or copy them to another location just to guard against them being overwritten when you install the full version.

If you do as 2Dogs suggests, you may have to relink the video files to the project when you open it, but that should be all.
