Best Codec for going from FCP to MF6 in HD?

I've just started my tinkering in Movie Factory 6. I'm going to be using it to author BDMVs from projects cut in Final Cut Pro. When I import an HDV .mov I can hear it in the preview window, but the picture is white. I am currently making a Blu-ray folder using a short 1/2 minute clip in H264. It looks like it'll take about an hour more.

I've read about people applying patch #2 to help with QT preview issues, but when I tried to apply it the dialog box told me it was already there.

Is anyone else going from FCP to MF? What codec and format do you recommend?

I use FCE.

Generally I can transfer files back and forth using DV rather than reencoding.

The files are large but no major compatibility issues.
