The out-of-sync (OOS) problem has been discussed in this forum at great length. I had a video that was in-sync when raw video was in the timeline, but which lost sync as soon as I inserted some crossfade transitions. The explanation from another forum member was that crossfade "shortens" the video a tiny bit so that you can see the new clip fading in while the old clip is fading out. For this to happen, they would have to overlap. But they did NOT overlap before you crossfaded. So you know the video was shortened.
There are other ways to produce the OOS glitch.
You can find dozens, possibly hundreds of posts on the topic "OOS" if you search.

I had the same problem on UVS8. Not sure where you notice this problem. If the sound is in sync in the time line and goes out of sync when you burn a DVD you have to follow the procedure at the top of the forum page. Allways create video files first. Only add video files to the DVD and never video studio projects. This procedure fixed my problem 100%

What patch?
I have had this problem lately on 2 computers. Just wondering what patch you used. I had updated to patch "uvs8_patch1_e.exe."
