Well it sounds like you're almost there. If you can get the program to successfully write DVD folders to your external hard drive, you should be able to get it to do so to your internal drive, so long as there is sufficient free space.

Don't neglect basic things like freeing up space by clearing out temporary files, running defrag and also running chkdsk to rule out hard drive errors. Whilst they're not likely on a new drive, they are always a possibility.

Many users can successfully follow the workflow described in the VS manual, whereby you do your edits with clips on your project timeline, and then go on to the "Create Disc" step and author the disc, and then burn the DVD.

Many others can't do this, however, which is why the suggested workflow was developed. It simply breaks down the disc creation procedure into separate stages. This limits the amount of effort and time lost when something goes wrong. When followed properly, creating a disk using the recommended procedure need not take significantly longer than creating one with the procedure described in the VS manual.

If you're one of the lucky ones that can use the latter procedure, fine. Otherwise, use the suggested workfow.

In my own case, I can use either method, but invariably choose the suggested workflow.

You are one of the lucky ones. I didn't say it couldn't be done but it is perilous and risky and many have come unstuck by trying it. It also depends on the length of the capture.

Finally it works good. After weeks of disapointed I found out that because the windows firewall I have got these errors. So I introduced manually the name of application (vstudio.exe) in the allowed list. That's it!
