Help! Can't add images

Post by jseltzer »

I keep getting this error when I try to add a .jpg (any .jpg) to my project:

"These files cannot be added to this project. These files may be of unknown file format, the computer does not have enough memory, or the file is copyright protected."

I know my computer has enough memory, and I know these are perfectly fine jpgs...any other suggestions?

I'm glad you know that you have enough memory and your files are ok because we have no way of knowing that.

There must be something wrong because I and countless others don't have that problem.

Please click here --> Image so that we can then view your system specifications.

What is the complete version of your copy of VideoStudio -
Open VideoStudio and in the top right hand corner press the [?] to display this:

I ask this because when I bought my Toshiba laptop it came pre-installed with a copy of DVD MovieFactory 5 for Toshiba. At first I was thrilled that Toshiba were doing this and increasing its circulation. I already own several full versions of DVD MovieFactory.

However i was later horrified to discover that the Toshiba version was crippled and does not include the JPG image format - stange when you consider that the majority of digital cameras adopt the JPG format for taking your photographs.
